Connect your ConvertKit account to automatically add subscribers and trigger email sequences
ConvertKit requires both an API Key and API Secret for integration.
You'll see "API Key" and "API Secret"
It will look like: abc123def456ghi789
It will look like a longer string of characters
This verifies that your credentials are valid
ConvertKit uses Forms to organize subscribers. You'll need the Form ID to specify which form subscribers should be added to.
The URL will look like: https://app.convertkit.com/forms/1234567/edit
In the example above, the Form ID is: 1234567
Alternative Method:
You can also find Form IDs by going to Settings → Advanced → API, then clicking "View API docs" and scrolling to the Forms section.
Now configure each deal to automatically add customers to your ConvertKit form:
Separate multiple tags with commas: "buyer, product-launch, 2025"
What happens now:
ConvertKit's automation power comes from tags. Here's how to use them effectively:
Free vs. Paid
Tag: "Free-Ebook" vs "Paid-Course" for different follow-up sequences
Product Lines
Tag: "Fitness-Products" vs "Marketing-Products" for targeted content
Customer Value
Tag: "High-Ticket-Buyer" for special VIP treatment and offers
Connection Test Failed
• Verify both API Key and API Secret are copied correctly
• Check for extra spaces before or after the credentials
• Make sure API access is enabled in ConvertKit settings
• Try regenerating your API credentials in ConvertKit
Subscribers Not Being Added
• Double-check the Form ID is correct (numbers only)
• Verify ConvertKit integration is enabled for that deal
• Make sure the form still exists in ConvertKit
• Check if the subscriber already exists (ConvertKit handles duplicates gracefully)
Tags Not Working
• Tags don't need to be pre-created in ConvertKit (they're auto-created)
• Avoid special characters in tag names
• Check the subscriber in ConvertKit to verify tags were applied
• It may take a minute for tags to appear in ConvertKit
