What are Download Links?
Download links allow customers to download digital products (software, ebooks, templates, media files, etc.) after completing their purchase. Links can be time-limited and track-controlled for security.
How to Set Up Download Links
- Upload your digital product file to your hosting service or cloud storage
- When creating/editing a deal, scroll to Delivery Method
- Select "Download Link" as the delivery type
- Enter the download URL for your file
- Configure download options:
- Maximum number of downloads per purchase (optional)
- Link expiration time (e.g., 7 days, 30 days, unlimited)
- Password protection (optional)
- Add delivery instructions (optional)
- Save your deal

After a customer completes their purchase:

Download link is sent to customer's email immediately
Secure Access
Links are unique per purchase and can be time-limited
Download Tracking
System tracks download attempts and prevents abuse
Best Practices
Host files on reliable cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive, AWS S3, etc.)
Set reasonable expiration times (7-30 days gives customers time to download)
Limit downloads to prevent file sharing abuse (3-5 downloads is typical)
Include clear instructions for large file downloads
Test your download links before launching your deal
Keep backup copies of all digital products
