What are License Keys?
License keys are unique codes that customers use to activate software products. DrivenCart can automatically generate and deliver license keys after purchase.

How to Enable License Keys
- When creating or editing a deal, scroll to the Delivery Method section
- Select "License Key" as the delivery type
- Choose key format options:
- Key length (characters)
- Separator style (dashes, dots, etc.)
- Character set (alphanumeric, numbers only, etc.)
- Add optional instructions for key activation
- Save your deal settings
Automatic Key Generation & Delivery
Once enabled, the system automatically:
Generates Unique Keys
Each purchase receives a unique license key
Delivers via Email
License key is sent to customer's email immediately after purchase
Tracks Usage
System tracks which keys have been delivered and used
Prevents Duplicates
Each key is guaranteed to be unique
Key Validation
DrivenCart provides API endpoints for validating license keys in your software:
