Setting Up Stripe Payment Processing

Connect your Stripe account to accept payments on your deal pages

Required For: Accepting any paid orders through DrivenCart. Free product funnels don't require Stripe unless you have paid upsells.

Why Stripe?

Stripe is a leading payment processor that allows you to accept credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods securely. With Stripe Connect, payments go directly to your Stripe account.

Important: You keep control of your money. DrivenCart uses Stripe Connect, which means:

Payments go directly to YOUR Stripe account
You control payouts to your bank account
Our platform fee is automatically deducted per transaction
You can disconnect anytime

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Step 1: Create a Stripe Account (If You Don't Have One)

Visit stripe.com
Click "Start Now" or "Sign Up"
Enter your email and create a password
Complete the account setup process
Verify your email address

Step 2: Connect Stripe to DrivenCart

Log in to your DrivenCart dashboard
Go to Profile Settings
Click your name in the top right → Profile
Scroll to the "Stripe Connect" section
Click "Connect with Stripe" button
You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure connection page
Log in to Stripe (if not already logged in)
Review the permissions
Stripe will show you what DrivenCart can do with your account
Click "Connect" to authorize
You'll be redirected back to DrivenCart
You should see a success message and your Stripe connection status

Success! Once connected, you can immediately start accepting payments on your deal pages.

Complete Your Stripe Profile

Before you can receive payouts, Stripe requires you to complete your business profile:

Log in to your Stripe Dashboard
Complete business information (legal name, address, etc.)
Add bank account details for payouts
Verify your identity (may require ID documents)
Set up two-factor authentication (recommended)

Stripe may hold payments until your account is fully verified. This is standard security practice. Complete verification as soon as possible.

Understanding Platform Fees

When a customer makes a purchase through your deal page:

Fee Structure:

Customer Pays:$100.00
Stripe Fee:~$3.20 (2.9% + $0.30)
Platform Fee:$5.00 (5.0% for standard users) or $3.90 (3.9% for Society11 Premier)
You Receive:$91.80 (standard) or $92.90 (Premier)

Payment Types Supported

One-Time Payments

Customer pays once and gets lifetime access to the product. Perfect for digital downloads, courses, software licenses, and services.

Recurring Subscriptions

Customer is charged automatically at regular intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly). You can offer free trials before the first charge.

Managing Your Stripe Connection

View Stripe Dashboard

Click "Open Stripe Dashboard" in your Profile settings to access your full Stripe account and view detailed transaction reports, payouts, and more.

Disconnect Stripe

You can disconnect your Stripe account anytime from Profile settings. Note that you won't be able to accept payments while disconnected.

Common Issues & Solutions

Connection Failed

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then attempt the connection again. Make sure pop-ups are enabled.

Payments Not Working

Ensure your Stripe account is fully verified and not restricted. Check your Stripe Dashboard for any required actions.

Payout Delays

Stripe typically has a 2-7 day payout schedule for new accounts. This speeds up after you establish a history. Check your payout schedule in Stripe Dashboard.
